Is Mystery Babylon the United States? Regardless, how do we "come out of her?"

The Woman and the Scarlet Beast
Revelation 17:1-6 King James Version
17 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
I was "introduced" to "Mystery Babylon" in the "Mystery Babylon Series" of Audible books by Jamie Lee Grey. In the books the United States was posited as the "Mystery Babylon" of Revelation. After further study I believe, as my King James study Bible says, "Chapters 17 and 18 picture the judgment of God on a system, empire, or city called Babylon the Great..."
So, it *could* be the United States and its "empire," but I think more of it as "a system," of which the United States plays a part, maybe the leading role.
Come Out of Her
From Rev 18:4 we are directed to "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
What does that mean? I asked that question of gotquestions.org; the answer, given in part is:
"God calls His people during the tribulation to disassociate from Babylon the Great. They must “come out of her” (Revelation 18:4). Have nothing to do with the false religion of the Antichrist. Separate from that system and its sinfulness; have no fellowship with her. Do not commit spiritual adultery. To “come out of her” is to withdraw from her activities, to refuse her luxuries, and to condemn her sinful plans.
To 'come out of her' is to follow the path of liberty and safety. The voice from heaven that commands the separation from Babylon also gives the reason for the command: ‘Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues' (Revelation 18:4). To share in the sin is to share in the guilt. God wants His people to maintain their purity and to be free from judgment."
So. It seems to me we are on the right track! And, it seems likely, we will never achieve complete separation.
Pharmakeía
There is a list of her "sins," but in the book series one was highlighted in particular, and I want to cover that here, because it seems important:
Revelation 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
Sorceries is the word to be highlighted; from Strong’s Concordance:
"5331 pharmakeía (from pharmakeuō, "administer drugs") – properly, drug-related sorcery, like the practice of magical-arts, etc. (A. T. Robertson)."
The Greek word used in this passage is "pharmakeía," in other words, drugs, and I don't think there is any doubt that we, the United States, are the global king of the drugs empire; in second place might be the Germans, followed by the Chinese, if I had to guess.
Babylon Will Be Thrown Down
Revelation 18:21-24 (for the full context in which the word "sorceries" is used:)
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
It's not going to end well for the whore; Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth. We need to separate ourselves from the system that is the whore.
