Serviceberries are cool! We rarely see them in the woods in Tennessee where I live. You often hear it called sarvisberry here.

Nice! That area between Spring Hill and Franklin has changed a lot. So many luxury apartments and mcmansions from wealthy Nashville commuters that you'd be hard pressed to find an honest poor person in the whole county these days.

If I remember from 8 years ago, you can shape them to be single stem, and manage the height for easier harvest. I admit to taking a "low maintenance" approach; I put the plant in the ground, water it in, and if it doesn't survive it just wasn't meant to be.
