Well done, John. It is very sad to realize that all these years that we have been fighting for the right cause, we have been the bad guys. It is becoming clearer, day by day, although there are still many people that still believe in our government and how they are above reproach.
I feel for all servicemen and women, I truly do. I think of they that have lost their lives, lost limbs, suffered PTS, moral injury, and all of the other maladies that accompany combat. Not to mention the incalculable damage done to our culture due to incessant warfare; broken families, absent fathers and mothers, etc. Only to learn that it was all for naught; Afghanistan being only the most recent example. As for the many, I can only share what I believe to be true, that's the extent of my influence.
Amen brother. I have been thinking for several months now that the end of the federal government is near. As throughout history a government built upon a structure of lies and deceit will eventually collapse so will this one. Trump may be able to fix it, but the deep state realizes that danger and will move to preempt that at any cost. (Just finished "The End of Everything" by Victor Davis Hansen... very prescient.)
The sooner the better Gene; the longer they keep it propped up, the harder we are going to hit rock bottom. No president can fix it, in my humble opinion. Only one can fix it, and it will be done on His timetable, much as I'd like Him to hurry things along. Perhaps Trump is an instrument, we may never know, but I'm not putting my faith in man. I'll put Victor's book on my list.
And yet, in all the layers of history and remnants of the American tapestry, we still have Americans who can see her original intent as a bastion of goodness in the world. And, we too, were born and live for such a time as this. I had this Humpty Dumpty realization in Jan 2020. I’m still trying to move forward even though looking down into the sinkhole of gov’t and cultural brokenness seems to have no “bottom.” BUT, It is a LIE that we are powerless. I hear your heart. Remember that we are moved to action and purpose by God, not man.
Great article John. The government has spent the last 74ish years via the cia learning how to disrupt and control population groups. A strong arm approach on the American population will never work, but a slow poisoning of the mental health and morality, along with a healthy dose of daily propaganda via two opposite news groups and politics, is a guaranteed recipe to control a populace. It's like the old "boiling the frog" story, as you rightly point out. To which I'd add, a general weakening of the population, in virtually every respect. Will we walk obediently to our death, as a citizenry, as did the Jews? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we did, but I'd also be surprised if there wasn't a subsequent and persistent insurgency.
Compelling. I still vote but with the clear understanding that, virtually no one inside the Beltway has any other purpose than to acquire personal wealth and power. The trillion $ omnibus bills are passed on to government bureaucrats and parceled out to the supporters that keep them in office. Our destiny is in the hands of the few ultra billionaires, a few who control all of the media. We are lost!
